Being satisfied with oneself is an indication of high self-esteem and self-confidence. As a result of the individual developing nice and positive feelings towards himself, it appears as a situation where the individual feels beautiful and positive. Self-esteem (self-confidence) is observed as the most important psychological feature in determining how a person will establish relationships with other people, his position and power in the relationship. Self-confidence is a power that encourages a person to realize the decisions he has made about his life. Self-confidence (Self-esteem) is a personality element that a person needs to lead a happy and successful life.

Again, self-confidence can be defined with the following concepts; to have ideas accepted, to be optimistic, to be willing, to love, to be proud, to be independent, to be open to criticism, to have the ability to evaluate emotional maturity and capacity correctly. Self-confidence, that is, self-esteem; It is to have a positive and realistic understanding of the individual himself and his abilities.

If the individual feels good, he will be at peace with his own characteristics, and he will be at peace with the surrounding conditions and individuals. As a result of such a state of being at peace, the individual does not hesitate to embark on new jobs and projects. When looked at, self-confidence is actually; It is observed as a basic quality possessed by individuals who love their present “moment” and believe that their future will be good. At the same time, these individuals are courageous and courageous individuals who love this day. In addition, self-confidence also emerges as a psychological feature found in people who are open to initiatives.

Self-confidence (self-esteem) is different from courage or courage. A self-confident person is aware of his good and bad sides, but does not hesitate to boldly highlight his good sides or try to improve his bad sides. He sees himself as he is and accepts his strengths and weaknesses.

The self-confidence of a person is of great importance both in his inner world, in interpersonal relations and in business life. There is no such thing as a person’s lack of self-confidence. There is only the situation defined as having low and high self-confidence.

The “ideal self” is the “me” I want to be. “Self-esteem” is feelings about the difference between what a person is and what they want to be.

Individuals develop an ideal theory of their selves. This is the personality that the individual wants to be. The individual pursues the self he wants to be instead of his existing self. This self, which he takes for himself as an ideal, has more advanced features than his real self. The individual can never reach this ideal self that he wants to be. However, it tries to acquire the necessary features for this. This situation also shows itself in the consumption habits of the individual. Individuals tend to turn to products that will make them look like they want to be.

Self-respect is; The feeling that prevents people from degrading their own personality and does not tolerate being humiliated by others is the respect they have for their own essence and personality. Somewhere inside, people with low self-esteem constantly feed themselves into thoughts that they are worthless, insignificant, and incapable. They avoid responsibility, they are not constructive, and they make excuses and avoid failure. People with high self-esteem are more self-confident and more active in social relationships. These people are in harmony with themselves and feel content with what they do. Since they respect themselves at first, it will be easier for them to accept others as they are and not feel inferiority. People who do not respect themselves, on the other hand, treat the people around them as worthless individuals, just as they do themselves.

To be more precise; If there is little or no difference between our current state and the personality we actually want to be, our self-confidence is very high, and if this difference is large, our self-confidence will be low. Regardless of our age, if we are not where we want to be, in a position, in psychology, we unfortunately lose our self-confidence and lack self-confidence.

Another definition of self-confidence is compatible with internal trust and external trust. Our inner confidence; self-love, self-knowledge, setting clear goals, and positive thinking. People who know themselves, love themselves, are content with themselves, and are at peace with themselves, have high inner confidence. External trust, on the other hand, is the state of our ability to reflect the characteristics of the individual, together with internal trust, to the external environment. It is the attitude, attitude and behavior of the person towards the people around him that he is satisfied and sure of himself. Communication and the ability to control one’s emotions are actually elements of external trust.
