What Range Should Normal Blood Sugar Value Be?

In healthy individuals, fasting blood sugar should be between 70-100 mg/dl. To measure fasting blood sugar correctly, you should take care to measure after 6-8 hours of fasting. You will get the most accurate fasting glucose measurement in the morning on an empty stomach. Postprandial blood sugar is the result of blood sugar that should be checked 2 hours after eating. Postprandial blood sugar should be measured 2 hours after you take your first bite, not 2 hours after the end of the meal. Postprandial blood sugar should be between 100-140 mg/dl.

However, if you have diabetes, these values ​​may differ for you. If your fasting blood sugar is between 90-130 mg/dl and your fasting blood sugar is below 160 mg/dl, your blood sugar is balanced.
