What is Anxiety Disorder?

Although the causes of anxiety disorders are not fully known, we can say that traumatic events and genetic factors are among the most common causes of anxiety disorders.

Some situations that cause anxiety disorders can be listed as negative events experienced as a child, having a relative diagnosed with anxiety disorder (genetic factors), divorce, economic problems, a stressful work / home life, encountering an event or situation that causes us to experience great fear.

What are the Treatment Methods for Anxiety Disorders?

Anxiety disorders are psychological disorders that can be reduced by treatment and can be reduced as a result of long treatment processes. Medication and psychotherapy can be used in the treatment of anxiety disorders. Especially psychotherapy practices show very positive effects on anxiety disorders. Many studies show that psychotherapy is a more effective and long-term recovery method than drug treatment in anxiety disorders. Especially speech therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy can be given as examples of widely used and functional psychotherapy applications. Play therapy is one of the methods used in anxiety disorders observed in childhood.
