What is a psychological disorder?

Everyone has a balanced and synchronous relationship with himself and the environment. In order to be called a psychological disorder, the deterioration of this balance and synchronization is taken into account. Every ailment has specific causes and progression. While some disorders are genetically transmitted to the person, others may occur with the effect of life events on the person. We know that there are not always positive emotions in life.

Everyone experiences events that will arouse negative feelings and thoughts, but not all negative situations cause psychological discomfort. At this point, the processes I mentioned about thinking in my previous article come into play. Even in an event that we will consider as a negative experience for everyone, it is possible to see that people do not react at the same level in the process they live. At this point, what draws attention is the meaning that the person ascribes to the situation he is in and the continuity of this given meaning.

Other processes that can be handled other than the genetic transfer of psychological disorders to the person are;

* The person has experienced or is exposed to violence in the family

* The person’s childhood traumas (lack of love, indifference, neglect, abuse, exclusion) etc.

Can all psychological disorders be treated with the same method and at the same time?

Let’s consider this issue through a person with a broken body. The person got out of bed in the morning and realized that he was sluggish, exhausted. He left the house for his program, which was outside, and when his relatives saw that he was weak, herbal suggestions were made to the person. He did not ignore them and did what was suggested. His friend said that when he drank that tea, it was very good for him, but it did not affect the person and his physical symptoms continued in the same way. He went to the doctor and was examined. The level of his illness turned out to be higher than he thought. We can also look at psychological disorders in this way. As a matter of fact, for any symptom, the people around you offer you the best suggestion, which may be good for you. At this point, you do not need to search for a professional anyway.

Let’s assume that the suggestions are not good and that the person’s bodily symptoms do not go away. The person went to the doctor and the doctor prescribed medicine after examining him. He said that he should use drugs with low dosages and that he should come for control when finished. When the person used the drug for 4-5 days, he decided that it was good and stopped. Because his friend had also used the drugs for a few days and stopped, and his illness was gone.

Well, the person and his friend

Are the disease levels the same?

Is the complaint they complain about exactly the same?

Does the resistance to the disease work in the same way?

Are the dosages the same drugs?

For this reason, the progression of psychological disorders and the duration of treatment vary from person to person, as in the example.
