Office Bleaching:
This whitening method; It is applied by the dentist in the clinic and in a single session, which usually takes 40-50 minutes.
A beam that accelerates the whitening is applied on the whitening material applied to the teeth. The whitening gels used generally contain carbonite peroxide. There are two accepted systems today.

Brite Smile

One of these systems called Zoom Systems, Brite Smile system uses LED plasma light technology. In the zoom method, a device that emits a beam of different wavelengths is used. Since low-density gel is applied in both, the sensitivity is minimal after the procedure. The devices used activate the properties of the whitening gel and provide a fast result.

Home Bleaching:
In this method, after a detailed examination of the person to be bleached, a transparent mold is prepared to cover all teeth and suitable for the mouth by measuring.

Usually at night and for 5-8 hours a day, the patient is asked to stay in the mouth. The procedure is completed between a week and 10 days. Office type bleaching is preferred today due to the long application time.

Points to be considered in the bleaching process:

1 – Protecting your gums:
Whitening gels can irritate the gums. Therefore, they should not be overflowed to the gums. If the gel carries the mold to the gums after placing the mold in the mouth, the overflowing gel should be removed with a wet cotton ball. In office-type applications, your dentist will use a special foam to isolate the gums.

2 – Correct setting of Usage Time:
In home bleaching, it is necessary to apply regularly and in the time recommended by the physician. Otherwise, the desired result may not be obtained.

3- Hot-Cold Sensitivity:
Rarely after bleaching “hot-cold sensitivity”However, this situation disappears completely within 1-3 days. The whitening process does not cause any change on the tooth enamel.
4 – Continuity:
Bleaching is a permanent process. However, the color may regress by 10-20% over time in those who consume excessive cigarettes, coffee and tea. Generally, the patient who has bleached is checked in 6-month periods. He is guided about tooth cleaning. Generally, whitening is reinforced with a one-time procedure.
