A visual aesthetic appearance is provided by performing rhinoplasty operation together with the repair of the deviated septum in the nasal midline, which causes difficulty in breathing through the nose. ,

The septum is a structure consisting of cartilage and bone tissue that divides the nasal cavity into two. curvature (deviation) of the septum; It can be congenital, acquired, or as a result of trauma.

Age of Operation

It is recommended for men and women after 18 years of age for the full development of mental, psychosocial and anatomical bone and soft structure. The operation can be performed at earlier ages, however, as a result of congenital or post-traumatic problems.

Pre-Operation Interview

Your complaints and expectations from your nose are evaluated.

Your face is photographed from 8 different angles, a nose design is made and your possible image that may occur after the operation is shown to you.

The deformity and problem in your nose are determined exactly. (such as nasal tip drop, nasal asymmetry, curvature, inverted V deformity, flattened nose, stuck in a mandala, piggy nose, clown nose, pinocchian nose)

Information about the causes of structural problems detected in the nose is given and solution options and operation techniques are discussed.

Before and after the operation photos of previous noses are shown.

Breathing through your nose is checked with the help of an endoscopic instrument. If the breathing problem is serious, the problems are detected by taking a sinus film. If there are problems such as polyps, nasal concha and deviated septum during the operation, they are corrected.

Preparation for Operation Time

Medications such as herbal tea and aspirin, which have blood thinning effects, are discontinued one week before the operation. (Do not stop the medication you use continuously without consulting your doctor)

It is recommended not to smoke for a while before and after the operation.

It is okay for women to be men and have an operation at that time.

Do not use hair gel on the day of surgery, do not wear make-up, wear comfortable clothes, leave your jewelry at home.

You should not eat or drink anything about 6 hours before the operation.

Be at the hospital one hour before the surgery.

When you come to your reserved room, you will be given a tablet if you wish and this will relax you.

Operation Technique

Closed rhinoplasty technique is used. (No scar at the tip of the nose)

No buffer is used. If necessary, perforated silicone splint is used to allow you to breathe.

Problems such as deviated septum, polyps, nasal concha, which affect breathing in your nose, are intervened and corrected. During the same operation, the cartilage, soft tissue and bone structure forming your nose are reshaped. The visual aesthetic appearance of the nose is provided by reshaping the excesses and deficiencies (such as low nose tip, excessive height, lip and nose tip angle, protruding or missing area on the nasal ridge, curvature of the nose, narrow or wide nostrils).

After giving your nose a new visual aesthetic appearance, special tapes are attached to the skin of the nose and a plastic splint is placed on it to keep it stable for 5-7 days.

Type of Anesthesia

Operation Time

It varies between 1.5-3 hours depending on the nose structure.

Healing Process

He is discharged the same day or stays in the hospital overnight. After the operation, a hilotherapy mask is applied for 4-5 hours. With the hilotherapy mask and the applied technique, the pain, edema and bruising on the face are less. With this mask, cooling is applied in the nose area and the patient spends the first hours quite comfortably.

It is recommended to have your head elevated (such as lying at an angle of 30 degrees) while lying down for about a week, for the swelling to go down quickly.

If a perforated silicone splint (providing breathing through the nose) is used, it is removed after 1-2 days.

After 1-2 days, a short warm shower can be taken without wetting the plastic splint.

Two separate nasal sprays are provided for you to use.

Swelling and bruising may reach the highest level on the 2nd day (depends on the technique applied and the procedure to be performed) and then quickly resolves.

5-7. The plastic splint on the nose is removed the next day. Your edema is left to dissolve almost completely so that a special skin-colored band stays on your nose for one more week.

You can return to work on the 7th day, depending on the transaction and the work you do.

There may be some numbness at the tip of your nose, this will decrease within 2-3 months.

If necessary, you will be taught how to massage your nose.

Lenses can be used after 3 days, light-framed glasses after 1 month, heavy-framed glasses after 3 months.

It is normal that there may be some slight nasal congestion due to swelling and crusts in the nose after the surgery, this will decrease in about 2 months.

You can start light-paced exercises after 2 weeks and heavy exercises after 6 weeks.

Around 6 months-1 year, your nose takes its final shape.

On the third weekend, you will be better aware of the new shape that the surgery gives to your nose, and you can see that your social relations and behaviors have improved positively.
