Sex Education in Preschool Period

Many parents observe the behaviors that they will realize that the formation of sexual identity begins in their children from the pre-school period. Reproductive organs, like other parts of the body, should be taught to children by their real names. Just as we do not call the nose a pipe or a mouth a box, we should not call the penis and varicose other nicknames. The child should be given the opportunity to recognize his biological structure correctly. Sexual education usually starts after the age of 2 at the time that corresponds to teaching toilet habits. It is important to give clear and precise answers to the child’s questions during this education. If the question he is wondering about contains information beyond his age, you can say that you will keep this question for now and you can talk when he gets a little older. Sex education is not a one-off, it is an ongoing process in accordance with age and development.
