Rhinoplasty has no summer!

In the society, there is a false prejudice that plastic surgery cannot be performed as the summer months come, and it is necessary to wait for the autumn. In fact, having a rhinoplasty operation in the summer provides many advantages.

It is possible to have surgery in the summer by not being under the sun and paying attention to some issues. In fact, the summer months are more ideal as schools are on holiday and it is a period when it is easier for employees to take long-term leaves.

Protect your skin from direct sunlight. After rhinoplasty, the skin of the nose and the delicate tissues under the eyes become more sensitive to ultraviolet rays. Therefore, you should avoid prolonged exposure to the sun.

If you have planned a sea vacation in the first 6 weeks after the surgery, you should apply sunscreen containing at least 50 SPF to your face and nose several times a day to protect your face and especially your nose from the sun with the help of a big hat.

Do not wear sunglasses. Like everyone else, you can use a hat in the summer. Sunglasses put pressure on your nose and this causes deformation in the nose during the healing process. You can use sunglasses a minimum of 8 weeks after surgery.
In fact, we recommend that you go to the sea 6-8 weeks after the operation.

For lots of water. It is very important to meet the body’s water needs, especially in the summer months, during the post-operative recovery process. The amount of water you drink should be at least 3 liters.

Having rhinoplasty in the summer does not mean you cannot go on vacation. You can board the plane a few days after the surgery or immediately after the incisions have healed. Bus, train and car journeys will not be a problem in this sense. There is no problem in driving, but at this point it is very important that you do not take any drugs that cause drowsiness.

Against the pressure changes in the air, the nasal spray recommended by your doctor 15-20 minutes before the plane starts to land will relax you. Ocean water sprays will also help your nasal passages not dry out during flight. Chewing gum would be helpful.
