Porcelain Laminate

Porcelain lamina can be prepared with very little intervention on your teeth. Even in some cases, lamina porcelain is prepared in the porcelain dental laboratory by simply taking the measurement without any intervention on your teeth. The thickness of a finished Laminated Tooth is about 0.5- 0.7 mm thick. It is among the conservative treatments because only the anterior surfaces of the teeth are prepared.

The reason why it is an important method in terms of aesthetic dentistry is its high light transmittance. Its light conductivity allows the prosthesis to give the same reaction as natural teeth.

In order to give an aesthetic form, the procedure time to be done in the patient’s mouth is very short. It is an advantageous method since time is not spent on reducing the tooth. It is produced from reinforced porcelain in the dental laboratory, on the measure taken by the dentist.

It is the most aesthetic solution for closing the spaces called diastema between the teeth. In patients who are not satisfied with the tooth color, if the result of teeth whitening is not satisfied, the desired color can be obtained with porcelain laminates. Lamina porcelains may be preferred in some orthodontic-related aesthetic disorders. The most correct treatment is orthodontic treatment, but some of our patients do not prefer orthodontic treatment due to the long treatment period. In such cases, lamina porcelain is preferred as an alternative treatment method to gain an aesthetic appearance in a conservative way.

It can be preferred in teeth with material loss as a result of fracture and to correct the deteriorated color and structure of old fillings.

The wear of the teeth over the years also affects the expression on the face. Because the vertical dimension is shortened, there is a one percent collapse. Porcelain laminates are a good alternative for anterior teeth to regain the vertical dimension of the teeth.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF LAMINA PORCELAINS?

Its biggest advantage is that it can be done with very little intervention on the teeth. The very short working time it brings is comforting for the patients. It is also considered a more conservative treatment for teeth due to minimal intervention.

Another important advantage is that the light transmittance is very close to natural teeth. In this way, a very natural look can be obtained.

A perfect transition is provided between the teeth and gums. The reflection at the gingival edge, which can occur in metal-supported porcelain bridges, does not occur in porcelain laminates.

The total treatment time is also short. There are no stages such as metal rehearsal, zirconium infrastructure rehearsal, separate session for glaze.

Lamina porcelains are rehearsed as polished. Since its polish is made in high-grade porcelain furnaces, it has high wear resistance and is not affected by foods such as cigarettes, tea, coffee and does not allow the formation of tartar on it.
