Parkinson’s

Parkinson is a movement disorder. Defining the movement as disordered is the fact that the movement cannot be performed at the desired speed and manner. This may be in the form of involuntary movement or it can be observed as slow or not moving at all. One of these movement disorders is Parkinson’s disease, basically controlling our movements in the brain. Any damage to the brain regions that affect the brain or the existence of a problem in the communication of these brain regions with each other can lead to this. In Parkinson’s disease, basically tremor in the hands, slowing down in movements, stiffness in the joints are the main clinical findings.

Since the most common finding in Parkinson’s patients is tremor in the hands, Parkinson’s disease is actually defined as a kind of tremor disease. However, a group of patients exhibit a clinical picture in which tremor is not the foreground, slowing down in movements is observed more prominently, but this does not prevent the patient from being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. basically, there is loss of dopamine cell group in the brain. Due to the presence of dopamine cell loss, bopomin support should be provided. The main goal in treatment is to activate these dopominalgic cells or to replace the missing dopamine. Therefore, the primary goal in the medical treatment of Parkinson’s disease is to replace this dopamine or to replace the existing dopamine. However, the drug options used in the medical treatment of Parkinson’s disease are very limited and the need to take drugs at frequent intervals is the main problem in the treatment of this disease.

In fact, before talking about the treatment of Parkinson’s patients, it should be mentioned that Parkinson’s disease is a multifactorial disease, that is, due to more than one cause. Here, environmental factors as well as genetic causes should be considered. Again, as in many other neurological diseases, the main goal in this disease is to increase the patient’s basic quality of life.

In other words, Parkinson’s disease is a movement disorder in which tremors in the hands and slowing of movements are mainly observed. The first option in the treatment of this disease is to replace the dopamine used in Parkinson’s disease and decreased in the brain in this disease.
