Obesity Causes and Consequences

Obesity is defined as a chronic disease that develops with the increase of adipose tissue in the body and increases the risk of heart diseases. Neuroendocrine factors and psychological factors can cause obesity.

Gender has an effect on obesity. The genetically higher proportion of adipose tissue in women increases the predisposition of women to obesity.
