Anna Freud published this book as a gift on the eightieth birthday of her father, Sigmund Freud, in 1936. It should be the perfect birthday present. Frankly, I couldn’t help thinking that his father was proudly reading the subject of “denial” but smiling a little. I found the “Adolescence” section especially very successful. I think that the book should be among the books that should be read in the science of psychology.
