Labium minus reduction surgery (vaginal inner lip reduction)

The inner lips are in the form of a thin skin fold between the outer lips and are structures that start from the upper part of the clitoris and extend from the right and left sides to the back of the vaginal entrance.

They get thinner from front to back and become indistinct as they get closer to the back of the vagina. Their average length is 4-6 cm, and their width is 1-2 cm. Their shape and size vary from person to person, according to race and age. It is considered normal for the inner lips to overflow slightly from the outer lips.

The process of reducing the inner lips, namely labiaplasty, is one of the most common operations in genital aesthetics. With this operation, drooping, large or asymmetrical inner lips can be corrected.

It can be made not only for aesthetic but also for functional purposes. For example, excessively drooping inner lips can get stuck in the vagina during sexual intercourse, causing the woman to feel pain. It can also cause bad odor due to sweating and accumulation of vaginal secretions in this area. It can also pave the way for the development of fungal infections. Some women may even be deprived of wearing tight pants, bikinis and some underwear.

Inner lip reduction operations can be performed under general or local anesthesia. With a procedure that takes about 30 minutes, the inner lips are reduced, and if there is asymmetry, they are corrected. Since self-dissolving sutures are used, there is no need to take stitches after the surgery. This surgery has no harm or hindrance to sexual intercourse, orgasm, conception and giving birth.

After the operation, there is no problem with urination and care is taken with the recommended cleaning methods.

There is no trace of the surgery. You can take a shower the next day of the operation, and return to normal life, provided that you are a little careful and dress appropriately.

After the operation, intercourse is prohibited for 4-6 weeks.
