Is It Necessary to Take Vitamins and Fish Oil Capsules Every Day?

We are under heavy bombardment of the environment about how beneficial vitamins and fish oil are for health. The vitamin side of this story ended with a fiasco and completely. It has been shown that taking vitamins such as ACE as an additional daily dose has no benefit in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, on the contrary, it may have some harmful side effects. The daily vitamin supplement business is buried in the ground as of today.

However, the fish oil side of the story still continues. Fatty acids called omega-3, which are found more in cold water fish such as salmon, pike and trout, reduce cardiovascular diseases, reduce sudden death, lower blood triglyceride levels, lower blood pressure, suppress inflammation in some rheumatic diseases, and even when given to pregnant mothers, the child’s intelligence claimed to increase the rate. Obviously, positive effects are reported in many publications in a way that supports each other. Despite all this, there are still points of controversy. Although it has been reported in many publications that eating fish regularly or using fish oil capsules reduces sudden death, there have also been publications reporting that this is not the case in recent years. It has been reported that fish oil capsules may be harmful with mechanisms that are not very clear, especially in patients with advanced heart failure. On the other hand, it should be emphasized that fish oil capsules obtained from non-hepatic tissues, not from the liver of the fish, should be preferred more. In addition, the amount of fish oil that should be taken in order to have a medicinal effect varies between 1-3 grams per day. Apart from that, taking one daily capsule containing 200-300 mg fish oil available in the market has no return other than a pleasant (?) feeling of being eaten.
