Purpose: To prospectively evaluate the effect of pregnancy on subfoveal choroidal thickness (FACC), retinal nerve fiber layer thickness (RNFL) and central macular thickness (MMC). Materials and Methods: 48 eyes of 24 pregnant women as the study group and 48 eyes of 24 healthy non-pregnant women as the control group were included in the comparative prospective study. With spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT), FAKK, RSKLTC and MMK are observed in 1-3rd gestational days of pregnancy. It was measured in the first trimester and in the first month after birth and compared with the control group. Results: In the FAKK study group, the median in the first trimester of pregnancy was 350.50±81.01 µm. 348.50±80.37 µm in 2nd trimester, 348.50±82.29 µm in 3rd trimester and 349±83.15 µm in 1st postpartum; in the control group, it was detected as 320.00±85.71 µm. In the RSLTC study group, the median was 100.50±11.14 µm in the 1st trimester of pregnancy, 100±11.27 µm in the 2nd trimester, 101±11.41 µm in the 3rd trimester, and 98.50±11.21 µm in the 1st month after delivery; in the control group, it was determined as 101.00±10.90 µm. In the MMC study group, the median was 214.50±12.31 µm in the first trimester of pregnancy, 215±12.16 µm in the second trimester, 215.50±17.38 µm in the third trimester, and 215±12.13 µm in the first month after delivery; in the control group, it was found to be 217.50±14.61 µm. The changes in FACC, RNFL, and MMK measurements over time were not statistically significant (p=0.87, p=0.092 and p=0.538, respectively). When the study group and control group were compared, no significant difference was found for FACC, RNFL, and MMK (p=0.086; p=0.526; p=0.238, respectively). Conclusion: No significant changes were observed in FACC, RNFL, and MBC during pregnancy and up to 1 month after delivery.
