For the study, nine women wore 5-inch heels for at least 40 hours a week for two years. These nine women were compared to 10 young women who wore heels less than 10 hours a week for another two years. In the study, the movements and reflexes of the leg muscles of both experimental groups were examined. Those who wear high heels His feet are constantly bent and he stands with his toes pointing upwards. The muscles in his calves are getting shorter and shorter. The shortened calf muscles cause mechanical strain. This leads to muscle fatigue. Increased strain on the muscle invites the risk of injury. Switching from heels to flat shoes also increases the risk of injury.
