Eyelid Surgery

Excess skin and oil on the eyelids make the person look tired and old. In the aesthetic eyelid operation, excess skin, fat and muscle tissue in the eyelids are removed. This operation does not affect the darkening and wrinkles around the eyes. With this operation, the fats that cause bags on the lower eyelids are removed.

While this operation is performed alone, it can be combined with eyebrow lifting and face lift operations. This operation is applied to men and women who do not have serious systemic disease and have realistic expectations. People with squint eyes due to sagging skin on the upper eyelid benefit from this operation.

In people who have bags on the lower eyelid but have pits under the bags, the fat is not removed and moved to the hollow areas. Care should be taken when applying this operation to patients with hyperthyroidism, diabetes, dry eye disease, and glaucoma. Before the operation, you should not be using drugs that will increase bleeding. This operation can be performed with limited numbing. General anesthesia can be preferred in patients with a very low pain threshold. Relaxation with sleep-inducing drugs can be added to local anesthesia.

In the aesthetic eyelid operation, scars are too small to be noticed even if looked very closely. It is possible to raise the eyebrow with the same scar after removing the muscle and skin with increased width. In order to obtain a more aesthetic appearance, the outer edge of the eye can be taken higher. In order to reduce swelling, bandage and cold application are applied with wet cotton for the first 2-4 hours. In the first week, the head should be above body level.
