For this reason, it is not enough on its own and it is necessary to go out to the sunlight.

Effect of Vitamin D on Reproduction

It has been observed that the chance of success in IVF treatments of women with vitamin D deficiency increases in parallel with the normalization of vitamin D levels. According to studies, vitamin D deficiency reduces fertility and significantly reduces the chance of IVF. During IVF treatment, men should pay attention to their vitamin D levels, as it also affects testosterone secretion. Vitamin D deficiency during pregnancy causes gestational diabetes, pregnancy poisoning, premature birth, low-weight birth, and a foul-smelling and runny vaginitis called bacterial vaginosis. For this reason, expectant mothers should be exposed to the sun and take vitamin D during pregnancy.
