Therefore, we must be very careful about our oral and dental health, especially in these Corona days. Because we will have to leave the house as a result of decay or pain in our teeth, which It may cause the virus to infect our home and our environment. Things to do these days;

—We should gargle with salt water during the day.
—In these Corona days, we should gargle with alcohol mouthwashes, if possible, 1-2 times a day.
—We should change toothbrushes regularly.
—We should pay attention to a healthy diet. We should not use acidic foods and drinks. We should prefer foods rich in calcium, phosphorus, vitamins A, C and D. (Parsley, kiwi, milk and dairy products, fish, green tea, etc.)
Sickness psychology, cleaning obsessions, social pressure, economic uncertainty created by the quarantine days cause our stress to increase. When our stress rises, bruxism (teeth clenching / grinding) cases explode. In addition, pain starts from excessive pressure in the joints. This affects nutrition. Because there is pain when opening the mouth. This also affects immunity negatively. In this case, healthy sleep is very important. Daily exercises can be done to reduce stress. Muscle relaxant drugs can be used in very difficult cases.
All these measures both routinely protect us from dental and gum diseases and prevent the mouth from being open to viruses, which is one of the most important ways of transmission of Covid-19.
