CHEMICAL PEELING

Chemical peeling is the application of one or more chemical agents to the skin at various depths.
It is an application method that aims to create controlled damage and reveal a healthy skin.

WHO IS APPLIED?

Stain: Pigmentation disorders (correction of spots on the skin)
Acne: superficial acne scars, post-acne spots, comedonal acne (black spots)
Antiaging: Photoaging (sun-induced skin aging), fine superficial wrinkles, large pores,
Scars (scars): scars of various shapes and depths, and hypertrophic scars
Other: pseudofolliculitis barba (ingrown hair), keratosis pilaris (hair root prominent on arms and legs), seborrheic
keratosis, actinic keratosis, plan verrue (flat wart), milia (oil gland), sebaceous hyperplasia (age-related fat
proliferation of glands)

WHO IS NOT APPLIED?

Active herpes virus infection (herpes), infections, and open sores
Oral contraceptive (birth control pill) and drug use that may cause sun sensitivity (photosensitivity)
Isotretinoin therapy in the last 6-12 months
History of abnormal scar formation, keloid history, and delayed wound healing
pregnancy/breastfeeding
Risk of exposure to intense sunlight
Recent facial surgery or laser application

HOW IS IT APPLIED?

To get a better response from chemical peeling 2-4 weeks before the application, topical
preparations can be used. If these products are used, they should be cut 3-5 days before the procedure.
Make-up and moisturizer should not be applied on the day of the procedure.
Before the application, preparation is made (hair cap, cleaning the face, eye, lip and nose edges.
