Your self-confidence is closely related to how you see or feel your skin. Acne scars, sun-related skin disorders and aging are the most important factors affecting the appearance of your skin. Various peelers to remove such marks on the skin (exfoliating agents)is used.

The main principle of the peeling method; It is to remove the damaged layer above the skin and revitalize the undamaged layer below. The result is a healthier, lively, smooth and taut skin. Today, Alpha hydroxyacids, especially in cases requiring superficial peeling (AHA)is used. AHA are found naturally in a variety of fruits and foods and are known as fruit acids. This group contains many fruit acids, and the most widely used today is glycolic acid, which is naturally found in sugar cane juice.

With the glycolic acid method, the epidermis layer of the skin is partially removed, allowing the cells to renew themselves and revitalize the skin. This method renews the skin in a more controlled way than deep peeling methods. Glycolic acid is the most common superficial peeling agent used today. In Glycolic Acid application, the skin is prepared for peeling for at least 2 weeks with a product recommended by the doctor. After this preparation period, peeling begins. The average number of peeling sessions is around 6-7 sessions, but this number may vary depending on the purpose and the patient. The use of gel, cream or lotions recommended by the doctor after the session will continue the skin renewal process between peeling sessions.

With the superficial peeling process, it is possible to alleviate the fine lines, pigmentation irregularities formed as a result of sun damage, and reduce the acne scars to a mild or moderate level. The skin can become softer and brighter.

Before the peeling treatment, the doctor should take a good history from the patient, determine the appropriate peeling time and peeling type according to the age and skin structure of the patient. History of active herpes, wounds or tiny clefts on the skin, recent surgical intervention (wound healing),If peeling or dermabrasion has been applied to the same area before, recent radiation therapy, use of the drug Roaccutane within 6 months, cryotherapy within a month, excessive sunburn, excessive scarring, the application is done in the time period that the doctor deems appropriate.

The peeling method is a safe method that can be applied by specialist doctors. When appropriate patient selection is made, good results are obtained with peeling.
