Breast Augmentation

Breasts may have unilateral or bilateral developmental disorders. Breasts may shrink or sag as a result of weight loss after birth. Because of this, the chest may deteriorate aesthetically. For such reasons, the breast can be given a larger, fuller and aesthetic appearance in operations performed to enlarge and plump the breast. This augmentation can be done most easily with silicone breast prostheses.

Breast augmentation surgery can also be performed together with breast lift if necessary. Breast augmentation surgery is performed with a silicone gel breast prosthesis placed behind the breast tissue. These prostheses can be placed under the muscle or on the muscle. Both techniques have their own advantages and disadvantages. In cases where prostheses are placed under the muscle in breast augmentation surgery, the recovery period may be a little longer and the pain may be a little more after the surgery. However, unless there is a special situation, it is safer and healthier to use muscle gold.

There are two types of breast prosthesis.
1-Silicones filled with salt water
2-gel-filled silicones The outer shells of both types of prostheses consist of the same silicone material.
Before breast augmentation surgery, the patient’s expectation should be determined very well. In addition, the possible different sizes and their causes should be examined. For example, it may not be possible to enlarge very small breasts in a single operation since a young age.

Because leather has the ability to stretch to a certain extent. Mammographic examinations of the patient should be performed before surgery. After deciding on breast augmentation surgery, a detailed interview is held with the patient. The risks of the surgery are explained to the patient. In addition, if smoking, it should be stopped 10 days before. Silicone prosthesis does not prevent breastfeeding or pregnancy.
Since the prosthesis is placed behind the breast tissue, not inside, it does not harm the breast tissue. In order to place the Silicone Prosthesis, the incision is made around the nipple or under the breast line. In cases where both cannot be done, an incision can be made under the armpit. There may be a feeling of tiredness for three days after breast augmentation surgery. The surgery is performed under general anesthesia. A bra-corset is worn for 6 or 8 weeks. There may be a burning sensation around the chest for a week or two. Stitches are removed within 10 days. Stitch marks stay pink for up to six weeks, then gradually turn white.
