Ankle Aesthetics

Stubborn fat can cause the ankles and lower leg areas to detract from an aesthetic appearance. Fat in this region is due to a genetic background rather than being associated with excess weight. From a beauty perspective, ankle thickness is a big nuisance for women who want to wear skirts, shorts or swimsuits. The healthiest way to thin the ankle is liposuction.

People who are close to ideal weight and have more than normal fat tissue in their ankles are good candidates for ankle thinning aesthetics, that is, liposuction.

This operation is performed under general anesthesia and additional methods to liposuction can be used when necessary. These methods vary according to the patient and their needs; Lipomatic liposuction, Vaser liposuction, Laser Lipolysis and Body tite are among the additional methods we use. Which or which of these methods we will use is decided according to how much of the leg will be applied, whether there is a possibility of sagging in the skin or not.

It can be combined with a liposuction or other aesthetic operation that covers the whole body, depending on the person’s desire. The operation can take between 2 hours and 6 hours depending on the number of regions and fat ratio of the patient. Before and after the operation, we can look at the ultrasound and see the thinning, and with our ultrasound examination, we can determine the estimated amount of fat to be removed before the operation.

Postoperative corset use is required, and the usage period is 6 weeks on average. Post-operative pain is at a level that can be relieved with pain relievers. It is possible to return to normal daily activities after the operation, but returning to active sports life such as jogging should be delayed for 4 weeks. Ankles are the lowest part of the body and are naturally the fastest edematous area due to gravity. For this reason, it can take up to 3 months for the edema to completely go away.
